The Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sheikh Naeem Qassem, indicated in a letter to the director of the Iranian seminaries, Sheikh Ali Reza Al-Arafi, that “We thank you for your letter in which you express interest, love, and support for Hezbollah in Lebanon, its Islamic resistance, and its steadfast, mujahid people.” He said: “In Lebanon, we face a brutal Israeli enemy, which aspires to expand, occupy, and confiscate the decisions of the peoples of our region, as it does in occupied Palestine and Jerusalem, supported by the unjust and tyrannical American tyranny with all its power and capabilities, in light of total global silence, and the complicity of some of the West, in submission to this enemy.” He pointed out that "despite the great sacrifices, the enemy will have no choice but to despair, stop the aggression, withdraw from our occupied land, liberate the prisoners, and stop using pretexts for aggression. He will not achieve stability or horizons with his aggression and crimes." He explained, "The brutal American-Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran aims to strike the flag of liberation, independence, and support for the oppressed, Palestine, and Jerusalem. But the courageous confrontation of the Iranian people, their armed forces, and their wise administration led by Mr. Mojtaba, and the influential role of the scholars, will achieve - God willing - a decisive victory for a new stage in our region and the world." He added: "We ask God to grant victory to the Islamic Republic of Iran and all the resistance forces in our region, and to lift the burden on our nation, especially the dear and sacrificial Palestinian people."
